Rock City

Irish modern rock quarter Kodaline are set to pull the heart strings of every teenage girl in Nottingham as they treat us to the new tracks from their sophomore release ‘Coming Up For Air’ on Monday at Rock City.  Full of infectious, Oasis-esque hits, it’s a surprise that critics have rated it so harshly.  If people want to hear the same Kodaline that they fell in love with back in 2013, you may as well just buy their debut twice.  ‘Coming Up For Air’ extracts the feel good vibes from ‘In A Perfect World’, yet teases us with catchy new riffs and sing-along lyrics sung effortlessly by frontman Steve Garrigan.  Take a listen to new single ‘The One’ below:

Following the release of the hugely acclaimed, Kerrang! Award winning recent album ‘Lost Forever, Lost Together’, Architects are set to plat the penultimate show of their biggest headline tour to date on Friday.  The band had this to say; “…We’re bring along our good friends in Every Time I Die, Blessthefall and Counterparts to make it one of the biggest heavy bills of the year. We’ll be doing everything we can to make sure these shows are the biggest and best Architects shows in our 10 year history. We can’t wait.” – See more here. and check our ‘Naysayer’ below.

After tickets for their upcoming UK and Ireland tour sold-out within just two minutes, Royal Blood announced details of a major European tour which includes a gig at our very own Rock City on Saturday.  The tour adds to a phenomenal breakthrough year for the duo, which has already seen their Mercury Prize-nominated self-titled debut album hit #1 as the highest charting debut rock album in three years.
