Leicester born singer-songwriter Martin Luke Brown’s support is ever-growing, something that is reflected by his 75,000 monthly listeners on Spotify and 68,000 Youtube views.
His gritty soul and folk-infused falsetto create a unique and distinguishable tone, which is heavily influenced by artists such as Ray Charles and The Beatles. His hit song ‘Nostalgia’ which was released in 2014 brought much focus from the likes of BBC Introducing and subsequently played by Zane Lowe, Fearne Cotton and Huw Stephens on Radio 1. His debut EP was released in the April of this year and includes the gritty title track ‘Take Out of Me’ and also the poignant tribute to his parents ‘Back to Me’. His raspy tone and wide range create a unique new and vibrant sound, creating an eclectic mix of songs with a distinct, as BBC Radio 4 DJ Tom Robinson puts it, “from the heart out the mouth feel unifying them.” Currently touring with Seafret, Brown’s support is ever growing and is driven with his ambition of creating a ‘dead honest’ record that comes from a ‘heartfelt place.’
